Ray sent me stamps from an auction lot and used a lovely handstamp on the cover. I'm curious if anyone else uses philatelic themed handstamps ...

While I don't own any, I saw one that I'd love to have.

On the History channel show "Pawn Stars" a couple of weeks ago, a man brought in what he thought was an 1861 printers plate for a Scott US type A29 (70, 78). I immediately recognized the design an knew it wasn't the real deal because 1) at was 4x too big, and 2) it wasn't made of engraved steel, but rather copper. I imagine it was custom made for a philatelist.

I'd love to see what people out there have.

I have been debating whether or not to have my own circle date cancel made up or maybe a 4 bar cancel. I do have 2 rubber stamps from my Springpatch Local Post and a First Day with an Eagle image cancel.
