My Son And His Interest In The Postal Carrier

I was actually putting together a topical collection with flowers, birds, and butterflies for my wife over the weekend. I'll put aside the duplicates.

oh she would be so happy to get some sent just to her! lol I am sorting some stuff this week also so let me know what he wants and I will be sure to send out some more.... if you dont have my address already email me ....oh wait it will be on the envelope we sent... just need to give the other name for you

He likes all kinds of stamps. I'm really not sure if there is a method to his collection. He is a typical boy that likes cars, trains, animals, and cartoon/disney characters.

I'll share this anecdote here if that's OK...
I stopped the car on the way home with my daughter today to speak to our postie and ask her if there was any mail for us. Returning to the car empty handed, my daughter (just turned 4) noticed I had no letters. "Oh dear, Mummy, that's a shame" she said,"that means you've got no stamps today!".
Out of the mouths of babes...

Kids are great at putting things in perspective and shining a new light on the ordinary. I am constantly amazed at mine.

ok so Dude and Gal check this out... last night my sister-in-law brings her kids over and we get talking about stamps because my 6 year old wants to show them off and mentions to her 3 cousins that she sent some out to Dude's boy and that we are picking some out for Gals little one also.. suddenly every one wants to help out LOL so we made the picks last night and I will be having the little one mailing them this afternoon just so you know LOL...
they are very ..ummm.. eclectic children in there tastes so there is quite the mix in those envelopes

the nieces want to start but I have to keep working on mama and dad about it LOL in time I am sure I will get them hooked up with a simple album or stock pages LOL.... as for my little one she is big on flowers and snow flakes right now but as I get in more and more she is kinda grabbing up what ever she likes in the moment (Disney, Dr. Sues etc...)

what are you into? as I get ready to make up sets for sale or trade I will keep you in mind....(no charge to you !)

My daughter likes to look at and play with stamps, I wouldn't say she exactly collects...
Actually, scrub that - when I think about it, we all like to look at and play with our stamps, so she probably does count as a collector!
We could definitely set up some trades. I know I get excited waiting for trades in the mail, and making up trades for other people, so I'm sure the kids would get a kick out of it too. I'll email you.

I am always on the look out for world wide Abraham Lincoln stamps, I have most of the US issues covered. As of late I've been toying with the idea of a road travel themed collection: modes of transportation, roadside attractions, traffic signs, etc.

Stamp album starter kits make a good gift for any occasion, especially with appropiately themed stamps.
