There is even a dated one from Sears Roebuck. (there were also Montgomery Ward dated precancels I hear).

Very nice stamps. I just looked up the fact that Cristobal is the ONLY precancel ever produced for the Canal Zone. As for the dated Sears precancel, apparently it was not required by the Canal Zone post office but Sears elected to do it anyway. Here's an interesting article on the subject for anyone interested:

Nice collection. There are 4 types of precancel patterns from the Canal Zone available. They make an interesting addition to ones collection.
