This is an interesting "Last Day Cover". The bottom part tells the story of Camanche, a town hat had to die and this is a mailing from the last days of it. The cover has an appropriate tombstone. The inside note tells of an outing groups made before the area was to be submerged. What a fun cover and note.

Jim

That's an interesting piece. I've seen a few like it over the years, but have never owned one. Thanks for sharing.

I have a last day cover for Quay, Oklahoma. I will find it and post it later on today or sometime tonight.
