Pilgrem Tercentary Scott #548/549/550, Flag 1208, Vote 1249,
That's all I've found. The first there are "silent" the other 2 "silent w/symbol" the US flag.
What are the other 5?

According to the latest Scott Stamp Monthly ( A great read, by the way!) there have been 10 commemorative US issues without United States, USA, or some such country identifier.

I've looked through the Catalogue and I can't find ten. Last count was 5 -- any additional finds?

laswabbie --- was there more info or hints in SSM?

If you have a subscription to Linn's you can read article online. It is in the Scott's Monthly archive. Look for the July 2008 issue.

If you don't subscribe to Linn's you should. You can get access to both publications online now for just $9.99 per year (worldwide).

Well, that explains why I couldn't find the article! The original post said "according to the latest Scott Stamp Monthly" and I failed to notice the date. I've been searching the March 2009 issue

This might be a stretch but the Lafayette issue of 1977 says US Bicentennial, but doesn't identify it as a US stamp. There's a French guy on it, after all!

-web picture

note- there are at least 4 other bicentennial issues in '77 and '78 that are similar. That could be your five.

All four of those have the country name, at the very bottom for the first three, and along the left side, for the bottom one.

ILS I know it says US Bicentennial, that's my point. It could (in my little mind) be a stamp from anywhere commemorating the US Bicentennial.
Hey, just thought I'd throw it out there and see who salutes, or something like that.

mkfarm. That's me missing the more modern U.S. Stamps. I didn't collect from 1962 until August 2011 when I started up again so I have the whole decade's from 1962-2011 missing. My collection is pretty complete from 1925-1962. Oh there are a few holes here and there.
