So I am in the scout head quarters doing some business with a few folks when the receptionist steps in. She has a huge smile on her face and a bag of stamps and hands them to me saying you told to keep an eye out.
After the pleasantries I find a man named David has wanted to off load this bag. I go up to the scout museum and he has a display of scout stamps on display there and I thank him for the stamps and he proceedes to tell me about the stamps in his collection.
Any way, when I get home I start sorting them and out in to countries. Mostly Aus but some older ones, and a few US I know I don't have.
Then a few from Fiji, Singapore, Africa and South Africa. Neat eh?
I will get some pics up soon with triggersmob help and use of his camera.
My good fortune is exciting and I just wanted to share
I am trying to get his email so I can invite him to join us here but could not read some of his Writing. I plan to go back to the museum next week. I am not sure what I have but I know its good.

There are a few items that James and I would like to share with you from his box of goodies. This is the first...

A cover from Singapore during WW11 dated 1940, a couple of years before the Japanese invasion.

Next we have an airmail cover from USSR. Can't make out the date, but could be 1968...

and a FDC from Australia, 1972...

and finally a partial cover from Great Britain, 1948...

Ooh, I like the 1c tiger from the Federated Malay States. According to Wikipedia, the Malayan tiger is the smallest subspecies of tiger.

Aw, isn't (s)he cute?

I think the USSR airmail envelope is probably from 1988. I have a couple of those (with the same denomination) that were sent to my father in the '80s. (Still cool, though. )
