i found one of these and there appears to be no perforation on any side of the stamp... according to my book this should not be the case .. can any one give me any information and a potential value of such a stamp? its in great condition and on the right kind of paper so I am inclined to think its real..
Here's a tip if you use most standard catalogs (i.e. Scott catalog or Postal Service Guide to US Stamps): At the heading of each stamp listing is usually reference to "perf. 10" (or 11 or 12 or whatever). When the heading says only "die cut" it means that no perforations exist on that issue. It was common to use no perforations on several regular issues and Love stamps from that period (early 1990's) as self-stick stamps were still being experimented with. When printing and separation methods improved, the stamps were primarily listed as "die cut serpentine" which gives the "look" of perforations as with many of the issues printed today.
good to know I was unsure and wanted to ask... still a nice example of this stamp though so I may hang on to it for the future in case I ever complete the flag album then I can move onto eagles.. but not for now have much work to do on this one lol.....
