I'm confused about the "catalog price of $2000.00" comment.
wouldnt that be for MNH....mint never hinged, or did I miss something
in the scotts catalog.

Sorry for the confusion -- you have to consider the other thread I posted ( https://goscf.com/t/14821#14821 ) for it to make sense.

Essentially, the lot of five covers consisted of: three with US Scott #73 (on cover CV $85 each), one with Scott #87 (off cover CV between XF $500 and XF-S $1750), and one with the Scott #83 shown in the other thread (on cover CV $1400 + $50 premium for blue cancel).

That puts the CV for the entire lot in the $2205 to $3455 range.

now I understand...thank you...for a minute I was hopefully wrong in my
reading of Scotts and that I was suddenly wealthy.
