I hope someone can help me identify these two stamps. Both are handstamped One reads Den 20 Gul and the other looks like K__ Oester Control Stempel.Any help you can give me will be most appreciated.

As to the second illustration, could it be this?

K.K.OESTER.CONTROL.STEMPEL

...if so, you may want to check out this link (have to translate page) but looks like a similar type of image, even though your example is not as rare as a Beethoven document, still an interesting comparison:

Hi Rod, I magnified the second stamp and it is indeed KK Oester Control Stempel and is a perfect match to the one in the link you sent me.Do you know what the control stamp was used for. It didnt really explain that. I did go to the Homepage for that link and it is an excellent website.

never seen or dealt with them before.
Highly specialised I should think.

I don't think they are postally relevant
probably a seal for a district/area cancel for official documents
but that's a wild guess.
