Hello everyone, I have had this card for sometime now and have been unable to find more than a sentence ot two on the 1922 Zurich Air Show.Does anyone have a link that can fill me in on this Air Show? This card was apparently used at the 1927 Zurich Air Show. I have been able to find very little on the 1927 show either. Is there a link that shows other examples of postal histry from the two air shows. Thanks for any help.
David

Not stamp related, but a kind of nice looking poster for the event. The original goes for $$$$ on auction sites:

wt1, looking at the word alpenrundflug at the bottom of the poster translates to Fligh Around Alps. I was just researching the two pilot on the front of the card Oscar Bider and Geo Chavez and it makes some of it fall inti place. Geo Chavez died at age 23 while attempting the first crossing of the Alps. Oscar Bider was the first pilot to cross the Alps in both directions between Bern and Milan. An interesting side note on Oscar bider is that his occupation was listed as pilot and farmer. Also I would love rto have one of those posters.
Thanks
David

Just been trying to find out more about this meeting and came across this thread. I'm still looking for a cover from the event - I do have a postcard like the one illustrated, and also a cover with a machine cancellation advertising the event. The cancellation was in use in Zurich from sometime in July until the last day of the meetimg, September 8.
