Hello everybody, I would appreciate any help getting catalog numbers for these stamps. I am certain the two city delivery stamps are either reprints or fakes but just want to be perfectly sure. I don't need numbers for them. As always I thank you. David I seem to have lost a couple of scans. Not sure how that happened.

The revenue stamps will be:
R155c or R155Ah for the inverted overprint R155 or R155A for the upright overprint (great SotN cancel!!)
I will leave it up to you to determine the correct die type (III or IV) and color shade.
The 2 locals are not genuine, as the originals were in color.
The post office seal pair appears to be genuine, but the pic is rather small to make a determination. It is an unlikely item to be forged. |

Swarts & Carns are local US posts listed in Scotts if they are real. The pair at the bottom also in Scotts Specialized as an offical seal, common. I'm at work or I'd get the correct Scott #'s. |

Hiya Mike! Don't bump into in the threads very often any more. We need for you to post more!! There is a question about a possible precancel in this other thread https://goscf.com/t/15102. Right up your alley! The Carnes' stamp is a definite forgery rather than a B&W reproduction; the two crosses/pluses are a dead giveaway. I can't tell if the Swarts is simply a B&W reproduction or forged from scratch. |

The Post Office Seal (last scan) is probably an OX21 which has minimum catalog value. I say "probably" because those seals were produced in at least 20 different varieties, with variances in paper thickness, color, perforation varieties, etc.
The OX21 is the first issue (1919) that is suggested to be "thin, white , crisp paper, Perf. 12 (sometimes rough). |

khj, Thanks for pointing that out, but I had nothing new to add to the post.
fincbob2451, aka David, You are welcome!
PS Those forgeries can still have valve, it depends on who was the forger, some are rarer then the original! |

jeesh those are just awesome! I have a few Rev.'s but not enough to claim a topical collection. I am really liking the B.O.B. stamps though, as this forum has sparked an interest in them for me. ##THANX## |
