OK here is some stuff I was looking at today that I thought might be of interest to you. I know there there was discussion of Rural route cancels, postal cards and station cancels and flag cancels so I took some pics of some stuff I have you might enjoy.
I apologize for the sloppy images but it's late and I just done 14 stock pages of stamps, sorting and all the inclusive nomenclature involved and I'm beat so better shots in the morning if it's OK. Good Night Irene! LOL

The flag cancels are always nice (from American Postal Supply Co.) but pretty common. The Philly Transit machine cancel is really a thing of beauty and uncommon. I will research it tomorrow and post more info for you

it's stamped 2 or 3 times with that Transit stamp on back cover. I'll snap better pics in a lil bit. I sure with the software for my scanner would work on my Toshiba satellite. I'll get it figured out.

As to the addressee of the first postal card you scanned to a Russel S. Johnson, Esq., I suspect this may have been the same person:

The transit cancel was from an American-Stodard Model B43. This cancel was used from 1898-1901.
