Not sure if this is the correct forum, but I have to ask.
How do you get those quotes from other postings in the boxes?
I'm in the dark.

First, you can't do it in a "Quick Reply"--you have to be in "Reply to Topic".

If you want to add a quote whether from a previous post or from another source, highlight the data you want to copy (hold left button down on mouse and highlight the desired text; then click right mouse button and select copy (or CTRL-C, if you prefer.)

Paste it where you want into the Reply Box and highlight the data you want to be quoted (again, hold left button down on mouse and highlight the text). Then, select the next to the last icon on the format bar (looks like a page of text with a right arrow in red) and it will add a "
" designation before and after the text, which means you then have it enclosed in a shaded box.

You can also just click the Quote icon

which will place the quote / end quote brackets within your message,

and then, after copying the text you wish to copy as wt1 says,

right click / Paste in between the
(Paste To Here)
's.

Always nice to use the Preview button below the Message window to see how it's all going to look come Christmas morning also.

Using any of the editing buttons on top of the Message window will not be the 'No, don't press That button, end of the world scenario' at all really. All can be changed / edited after the fact, even after you press Post New Reply.

Just click the editing icon on top of your reply

to access your message or, on the first post of a topic, your title too.
