I spent some time this morning working on my US Classics. As much as I enjoy reading SCF every day, it's nice to actually log some time with album, catalog, and tongs...

To the best of my ability, I see this as Scott #7...

And this one as Scott #10

If you think I've mis-identified them, please speak up - it won't hurt my feelings.... much.

These two don't rival some of the beauties I've seen posted here, but given my budget, they are good enough for me. Oh, by the way, for those who might have forgotten, pen cancels don't offend me , so I don't mind the #7.

I will wait for Russ or sinclair2010 to log in but the #10 seems to have an awful lot of red in it for a 10, but I certainly am not the expert here. I love the scans anyway. And you are right Kirk, that is what I have had to do lately. I picked up so many stamps, I had to sort them out or drown in them. Great scans. - Jeff

Those stamps are fine, they can't all be perfect. I concur on the #7. The 3c does has a lot of red, is it your scanner? It almost has to be a scanner issue. I believe the stamp is a #10A, it can't be a #10 because the inner lines are recut. It doesn't look like any of the #11A's and the label block and upper right diamond block says plate 1E or 1i to me.
