Continuing with my morning's work and identified to the best of my ability..

Below, this Scott #20 is a little rough around the edges. After I finished scanning it, I did remove that tiny red string from the mount.

This Scott #24 has better perforations and I'm assuming the postmark is New York Something.

Lastly, the Scott #26

As mentioned in my other posts, these are the best examples, but they fit my budget, so I'm pleased.

KirkS

KirkS, I like your early US classics. I don't have any of these yet but look forward to getting them at a reasonable price.

Your ID's are good. The only thing I would add is that the #24 has a black (obviously) New York City carrier cancel that adds $12.50 to the cat. value. If I have time later I will scan a cover to show what the cancel looks like in its entirety.

Kirk, here is my best example of the cancel that I think matches yours. According to Stanley B. Ashbrook,s book, The United States One Cent Stamp of 1851-57, Vol. II, it is assumed there were six stations A through F and likely a Station G.

Here is another example that is close but not the one, IMO. Note the other markings, which are present on both covers telling you where the letter went and when it was to be delivered.

Those are all great scans folks. Jealousy is oozing out here, be right back!
