I would not buy that stamp.... too much money
honestly I saw seals stamp today before I saw this post. I wouldn't buy his either.. that repaired corner is nasty... (sorry Seal, but that stamp is in bad shape)

you can get a better stamp for the money.. I bought a 3 margin.. with the bottom of the upper stamp showing as well for around 140.00 dollars... it is excellently centered with a blue face free cancel with no tears... so you can do as well or better.

I would not buy that one stampvirgin. Note that it appears to have been cut, most likely before it was applied to the cover it was on. The cut runs from the top right margin and through Ben's hair on the right side, you can see it. Picture below.

I know I'm so humbled by the kindness of everyone and I think I'm just going to wait until something good and in my price range finds me. Actually I think I'm going to start at #1 and go right down the line with al your help of course and get as many of the early american classics as I can. It's something that I have always been pining to do and the time seems right to do it. I also need some sets from the 30's and 40's also that I could do too so maybe we could all help me spend my money together..lol (that sounded better in my head)

You all rock! I'm feeling a little better today!

Pen cancel #2 is fine..

pen cancels don't bother me at all, I prefer them, you can see more of the face that way.

Anyone still looking for US #1? I just spotted a 3 margin copy on ebay. The scan was a little fuzzy so I couldn't see much more than that. 12 Hrs left so you have time to get in touch with the seller for better/more scans & questions. Item number: 160589299891
