Razersedge, I'm amazed that you can see anything. Thanks for your efforts. You obviously have had a lot of experience finding US watermarks. Let me know if your later efforts refine the image of the watermark further. Regards Mike |

Honestly no about six months but it was this series that got my attention I've got about 2000 2c to sort and only about 100 done, but it the fact that 2 stamps look the same and the value so different intreges me, but its the papers I strugle with and the us watermarks drive me up the wall, but I have only just started using software to do it, but I won't be Beten by an inanimate object. Mike, what software are you using to manipulate the image. I am using Photoshop Elements 9 but can't seem to be able to utilize it to boost the image of any watermark. Mike |

On my old computer till I died I was a photo shop style program I got with a digital slr I bought; cant remember the name but I think it was mgi but it had a negative button and it turned it to a true photo negative and it was great, but it was a old program and wouldn't work with windows 7, at the moment I'm using adobe photo Shop cs5 but I'm still learning how to use it but the invert is crap on it but you can mess about with colours and hue easily. But when I find an easy way I'll be shouting about it |

Don't want to get into any dispute here, but I am going to stick to my original assessment that is a single line watermark. The watermark is visible in the lower left corner and I do mean corner. It is only a very small part of the loop. It does not cover a large part of the stamp.
Let's agree to disagree here. |

I will agree with you a little because the watermark isn't coming to life like I thought it would, I still have to say a double because of the flairs at the top but it could go either way and they could be faults in the paper but I'll have a play with it later and see what turns up or not turns up lol |

Gents, I'll take any advice you want to offer because my eyes can't see the single or double watermark line in the lower left of the stamp well enough to confirm or deny its existence. I can see what may be part of the "P" but I'm not sure yet. |
