ebay and pay pal from the USA,CA,UK and France will be changing their policies for Australian sellers as from July this year.

Australian seller using these ebay's will have all transactions held back for a period of 21 days. Money will not be available from your pay pal account for this period.

Unless 90 days have passed since your first sale.
Need to have made more than us$250 in sales.
Have a below standard rating.
Have a lot of protection claims by your buyers.

Looks like Australia is not in the race.
Wonder why such a global attack is on the land of OZ.

Hello, I have bought and sold a LOT of item from Australia and have never had a problem. I now only sell certain items on ebay but have pretty much given it up and now use Delcampe and bidstartebay will find out that with out sellers there are no buyers and I think a lot of sellers are giving up on ebay. It used to be good but gteed has taken them over. Just my two cents worth.
Thanks
David

As I'm only selling my odds and ends to generate funds to buy more KGV, I treat my shop as a hobby-shop. I've got around 130 items up and turn over a few a day. There's no mad bidding sprees like you see on ebay, and most items tend to sell late on in the process.

However, I have a mix of fixed price and auction items, and it seems that the fixed price items sell better. I must have my prices too low!!

Am I missing something here? The above are a red flag for sellers from any country. I have bought from many in Oz, and none had the above (or I would not bid). I don't see anything to worry.

I don't get it, I never had any trouble with local sellers. Most shonky sellers that are reported on different boards are not from Oz so what's going on? Maybe non-stamp sellers are not behaving right?

Delcampe is good and I use it more everyday.

In putting down ebay .com it is only right to show the other side of it all for us.

We have had a good time with ebay .com. We have been looked after, it seems to plug up our weak spots in the office work. The little extras that give an edge with the Australia market. Lots of bidders and lookers, they won 51 out of the 80 lots listed this week. We are learning a great deal still. But trying to be smarter at what we are doing is the way to go now. It is a very interesting science, when it works. lol

ebay needs a little good stiff competition to bring it around to its senses.
