Sneak them in hidden between pages of books!? ha I dunno, I was trying to think like a man!

Actually, my stamps are scattered everywhere in the guest bedroom (who could miss them?) That way we never can have guests!

I usually get home before my wife does. I run grab my stuff out of the mailbox before she sees it! Once the new stuff is in my pile she can't tell the difference.

I avoid the whole sneaking thing all together I tell her before it shows up that I have bought that way I don't get into trouble for buying and then sneaking it in. It goes back to the old addage, is better to tell the truth then to have to come up with a passel of lies to cover ones butt......LOL

My husband has an antique Jaguar. I don't think I'll ever match his ebay or any other purchases. So I guess I'm safe.

My wife tells me she has so many different pairs of black shoes because there are different colors of black. Go figure!

In truth, she has her shoe collection and I have my stamp collection. We're both happy.

I'm with you. She has no room to complain as long as she spends $17 every couple of days on a packet of fags.

From Henry Cecil's No Bail for the Judge:

"It is astonishing to those who do not collect stamps that so much money can be sent by intelligent* people on buying small pieces of paper of no intrinsic and often no artistic value whatever."

*Boldface added for emphasis

PS: I hate e-Bay sellers who bundle detailed invoices along with my stamps

One of the dealers I buy from changed their merchant category code so that purchases at their store look like there are purchases at a grocery store.
