Time to reflect on our young folk.

Being a grandpa, my young folk are never out of my mind.

But you are right there are far too many children in the world that are still suffering and even dying. It is a very sad situation that we are on the verge of discovering the so called "God" particle but are still unable to keep all the young fed, safe and secure. Sometimes, knowledge is not power.

:(

In my ignorance I posted an Indian stamp.
I see India celebrates their day of children
on Nehru's birthday November 14th

Countries each have their own children's day
which varies.

Australia has only had a "children's day" since 2007
"Children's day" in aust is now a registered trademark

It would be funny if it wasn't so sad. I guess Mother's day and Father's day were taken?

My parents always told me that every day was children's day.

I am somewhat surprised,
I thought/assumed the "faces of Australia" was a first,
but your cover indicates it certainly was not.
A great snapshot of typical faces from the 1950's

Half of those tackers would be wearing nothing "off the rack"
but lovingly knitted by Mum or Grandmum.
I still remember my first Polo knecked jumper,
wore it till it was threads.
