These are the Austria stamps I have. I'm not expecting anything of great value, but I am wanting to know if there is anything worth listing as a separate auction on ebay. Would also like to know anything else you can tell me about them(year issued, name of set, etc.). Thanks!

bidetsith,
I see nothing of importance in your lots
in fact, quite a few are in poor shape, soiled
and dirty.
In Australia, and from a stamp club, I would expect
to purchase a shoebox of this type of material for about $15-$20
and hope I find something worthwhile.
Your Belgian Railways stamps are OK and a few others
are collectable, but in the main would just
attract low bids I would suggest.
Please appreciate we are just being honest and straightforward. :)

I do appreciate your honesty! That is the exact info I needed! All of the stamps are not in this poor of condition, but many are. I suspect this was not helped by the previous owner's storage methods. Anyway, for $5, I guess I can't complain. I'm gonna keep digging and hope I find something of slight importance! Thanks for your info and your quick response!

Bidetsith:

Thanks for sharing your scans. As Rod said, you'll get good honest feedback here. Sometimes it's disappointing, but it makes it that much sweeter when you find a gem.

Also, here's a tip for your image. If you put Image Tags around those URLs, they will appear "inline". The Image Tags are [img ] and [/img ] (with no spaces inside the brackets.

For example ...

will get you this...

Kirk

PS. Remember, there are no spaces inside the [ ] ... I only put them in to demonstrate the concept.

Philately is so confusing,
the stamps shown in Kirk's image above could be
mainly considered of very little value,
but to a collector of postmarks that finds a rare
strike, they are invaluable.

"value" is so abstruse in collecting.
