Hi to all

I just found this in a pack of stamps from the local thrift shop(Love those thrift shops)and thought I would post it as something different in varieties.
I have examined it with a 10x loupe, with a gemmological Microscope and under UV light.
Unfortunately I can not get a good scan of the back as I do not know how to darken the field to show the unusual zig zag paper fold on the back.
The stamp has not been tampered with in any way.
Regards,

Horamakhet

Horamkhet, a nice find. Any close-up scan of the rear would be appreciated. The collect-ability of stamps with 'genuine' pre-print creases, is attracting specialist local collectors. We've spent hours discussing that topic.

Hi finches,
I have done a scan for you. If you enlarge it you can just see the paper fold.
Unfortunately it is not a good scan, but hopefully it will help.
Regards,
Horamakhet

Hi finches,
here is a better scan. the round half circles are the postmarks and the and at the end of the zig zag is part of the fold.
I hesitated about buying the pack of stamps as there were so many copies of the 1980 Christmas, but some-thing told me I should buy it. I have not examined the other stamps in the pack yet, so I may get lucky again
Regards,
Horamakhet

Horamkhet, I had heaps of scanning problems while educating myself on my scanners capabilities. Found success by using black color backing behind the stamp while scanning, then crop and magnify (+) the creased area a few times before hitting the OK button.

I have a Canon MP210 Scanner/Printer that places scans into the provided program 'MP Navigator' which has Auto/Manual picture adjustment controls, darken/contrast etc, that increase visibility of Creases and Watermarks etc. What sort of Scanner are you using?
