Hi to all

Thought I would post these as a curiosity.
I have seen lots of revenue stamps here in Australia, but these are the 1st I have seen still on the checks. They would be common in the USA

Regards,

Horamakhet

Horamkhet,

Was this a new find? If so, I just have to ask, How did a U.S. check with a U.S. Revenue stamp from Ohio get to Australia? Or, was it part of a collection you found or was it from ebay?

How does any stamp get from one place to another if it weren't for us collectors...

Great checks BTW.

I've occasionally found some phenomenal U.S. revenue cancels in ebay lots coming out of Europe.

The stamp below came from a collection I bought from the UK. I've shown this cancel to countless people, including Eric and Richard, and no one has ever seen it before.

Hi artlaunier

I found then in an stamp shop that sells all odds and ends as well as serious stamps.
He said he bought them over the counter from a collector. They cost me $2.00 each.
I am presently stranded in Queensland, will be home on Friday. Chilean Volcano plume has stopped flights and I am in backlog.
