But of course... Londonbus would say flags were most popular, and Cjd, and others would say KGV. I'm with flowers, birds and discovering all sorts of things I didn't even know existed a year ago... So you can just send me all the embossed cover envelopes and covers ... hehehe.
... topicals are what they are... some are popular, some aren't. If you are looking to divest, make up things that make sense, and look at what is left over... if you don't think it will sell, then add a bonus page or two to someone's purchase. They'll be surprised, and you'll be a page or more lighter.
Pay it forward comes to mind. :)

Ok, so here's what I got cookin'. Topicals are very popular here so I figured I'd try to make it easy for you to ebay shop..... https://www.stampcommunity.org/topi...mp_auctions/Custom pages are extremely easy to make, so use the form on the pages in that section to send them to me and I'll reply with a link when it's done and we can fine tune if needed. When you click on the refinements they will "stick" until you close your browser, are inactive on the site for 20 minutes or so, o change them by clicking a different one. I'll be adding some pages every day so it will grow fast. |

I collect "Any philatelic material that depicts a motorcycle, or part thereof, or name of manufacturer, recognizable as being of ITALIAN ORIGIN."
The oddest topic I heard about was "lightning strikes on stamps".

A stamp dealer at a show told me about the best topical collection he had ever seen exhibited - a novice girl's collection of "women on purple stamps". Ryan |

I just had a look at the American Topical Association website, and they have a list of over 500 topical checklists which they offer to members. http://www.americantopicalassn.org/...cheklist.pdfSome rather esoteric stuff in there - walking races, Pinocchio, clouded leopards, Methodists, etc. Obviously some of the checklists reflect the interests of an ambitious member, for example there is a checklist for the 1976 Olympics in Montreal and the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, but nothing for any other individual Games. Ahhh, now I see where this is going. I am already requesting pages that I would normally search. Nice little add on. I usually use (20140417) Site Not Allowed for the same thing. Pretty soon I will not have to go any place else for my info or stamp needs. |

Are shapes considered topicals? I thought it was more the subject matter? |

Do not know how else to classify them but when I do a auction search I use either odd shape, shape or shaped to get results. |
