First I would like to extend my thanks to all of you that stopped by my sale. It was great and some really good deals were had. Total I had 28 buyers and sold out my entire inventory of 60 stamps. I know we will be seeing some of them here in the near future. All that being said, now I must restock and I thought you might like seeing the new items as they come in. These arrived today. Sc#2 with red cancel. very fine almost totally fault free (two very small creases in the right hand margin. Sc# 209 Jumbo with super fine centering full original gum and no hinge. Only minor fault being a natural inclusion

wow man nice stamps (but you knew that) I would just love to be a bug on the wall in your shop or collection room. Hey may I have a link to your auctions please? I usually got good money to spend at the beginning of every month and I trust your judgement. Thank you for inspiring me Seal. You rock! I'm currently and recently a disabled ex-musician (do sound "images" for the Discovery, History & Adult swim networks) and a retail (boutique)store owner. I'd be in for any great deals! Thank you. |

Ron, For machine cancels I use a database develped by Richard Small. Bomar for expo cancels. For hand cancels most of the info has been put together from web site, aution sales and postal history sites. The mercury project on Frajola's site is a great resource for cancels. Edit: Here is a great site for the SF cog wheels http://users.frii.com/rmingee/cogpage.htm |

Ron Ron Ron Please stop torturing the members . Everytime I look at your goodies I close my album and say yuk. Seriously though you definatly source well and I know you do your homework. Switching to Bidstart should be a good move since Enay just doesn't make things fair anymore. Kep us posted on the new home. Just for my own personal hodge podge do you get lesser quality assortments in with these gems? If so email me I'm interested in filling holes to close off a specific album and quality is not key on this one. |

nitrolures Usually, when I make direct buys from the auction houses, I will also pick up one or two collections. Right now I am expecting two. One is from 1847 through 1920 and the other is from 1861 through 1950. The way I work it is to cherry pick the better items then stash the rest until I have a blow out sale like the Fathers day blow out that just ended. Also, most stuff after 1900 I just sell as pages at fund raiser auctions. As far as what you might need I still have a couple hundred pre 1900 so just pop me an e-mail and I will see what I can do. |

Some of you may or not, know that I was a victim of some sort of scam/fraud at my bank and I took a hit of over $2,700 late last week. My bank is trying to determine how and to get my money back but no word as of yesterday. I have pretty much curtailed any purchases for the duration.
However, TheSeal got caught up in the side affects and has graciously allowed me to catch up a payment after I get my finances back in order, which will be tomorrow. So, not only is he a great source of stamps for everyone he is also an honorable dealer that I will be doing business for a long time to come.
That being said, I look forward to bidding on the C14 or, is there a buy now price? It is what I have been looking for.

Beautiful stamps Seal619. You always have the most extraordinary examples for sale. Way out of my league I'm afraid, I can only dream and wipe the drool off of my computer keyboard. I bid on a #1 the other day which started at a penny. It was mine up to $10, but with 6 days to go, my 'ownership' didn't last long. I'll continue to watch it and reminisce about the time it was mine.

My Store name is the same as my ebay store, Independentstamps. Also you can use TheSeal, right now I am still trying to figure out how to use the Bidstart bulk loader. I have listed one stamp as a beta run and now trying to work out the bugs. About the Sc#2's The top one will be listed with a start price of $499.95. The other will start at $524.99, however, because you are a member of this forum and have over 50 posts and if you buy before I list, I give a 5% discount. As always I include free insured domestic shipping. Out side the US is just $2.50. Ron |
