This looks to be an L-Type precancel. Can anyone accurately identify the correct L-Type? As best as I can measure it is 17 mm between bars; 3 mm from top bar to city name; and 4 mm between city and state name.

Thanks.

If I had to choose between the 5 L-types for Clayton, L-2 E would be the closest. The example shown in the catalog has the L almost directly over the D whereas your example shows the D directly under the A. I also noticed that the C in Clayton extends past the bar line to the left. Not sure how unusual that is.

Between you and me, let's just make up our own and call it L-6 WT1!

I would say the Frankie is correct, a L-2 Type with a state shift variation.

Thanks! I'll note it as an L-2 with a State Shift Variation. That completes my Delaware precancels. Now to tackle the more difficult States!
