I just want you to enjoy some of my newest Belgian covers. I was very excited when I received them.

A Pre-Belgian cover from Octobre, 10 1743
Note that this and the next letter has no adress, only a name and a destination. Don't try this nowadays.

A Pre-Belgian cover from July, 31 1763

Cover from Octobre 31 1855, with a 40c. Leopold I stamp (Scott #8)

Cover from June, 17 1863, with a 20c. Leopold I stamp (Scott #15)

Cover from January, 6 1912 with a 10c. Leopold II stamp (Scott #85)
Note: the tab "No delivery on Sunday" has been strikethroughed as this day was a Saturday and the sender wanted his letter to be delivered the next day (Sunday).

Postcard from Septembre 24 1919 with a 5c. Albert I semi-postal (Scott #B36). Very rare on a cover

Those are great covers Scarah.

Do you know of any online source that gives the opening and closing dates of Belgian post offices??

I have a few covers myself but not a great deal but do have more from the WW I era etc. I am also in to the "Publibel" cards as well.

Lovely covers,
a nice cancelled sunday delivery tab!

The second envelope has an interesting paper used in the cover.

I like that last cover Philb, Belgian cities are using the same cancelations from 1815 until 1830, as they were part of the Netherlands back then
