I've noticed Posts with missing images.

My question is; if one posts an image from Photobucket to a forum, will the forum image disappear if the image is deleted from Photobucket?

This was the case in other sites but I'm not sure since Photobucket has upgraded.

Found out via SCF Testing forum that Photobucket up-grade still does not keep a posted image in SCF if deleted from Photobucket.

After deleting Photobucket image, it took 2hrs plus before the SCF image was gone.

I'm pretty sure it still disappears. When you use photobucket, you're linking to the web address of the photo. When you open the thread and the page loads, the code in the page tells it to retrieve the image from photobucket. The image is not stored at SCF or on the page as such.

I have an album in my photobucket account titled "forum pics". I put any photo I post in a forum in that album so I know not to delete them.

if you move one or just straight up delete it then the link gets broken.

I have in the past moved images on Photobucket from one folder to
another causing them to disappear here.
When I switched them back again they then reappear here.
No problem there.

What concerns me is the fact that apparently after a certain time
of non activity on Photobucket the account is canceled and your
images are removed/disappear.

Therefore as the older members, myself included, pass on there
are going to be a lot of empty spaces.

I've jokingly said to the wife that after I'm gone she should
every once in awhile log on to Photobucket to keep it alive.
Her answer: Sure, sure
