A fairly common lot from what I can see.
You are to be applauded by keeping them "on piece"
they then become uncommon.
Page 2 top blue stamp looks like a fiscal use.

Some nice slogan cancelations.

Gerry68, you have some nice early used Ireland.
Regarding your question about a fiscal stamp, it is a stamp that is put on an object to show that a government tax has been paid.

all my stamps are from 1861 to 1957 I think that's where it mysteriously stops.

Can you guess what is the entire slogan on the blue stamp that start with a big "save". Can't figure that out.

Assuming we are looking at the same stamp, the slogan cancel reads SAVE BREAD FLOUR and was used at least in the 1940s.

sorry timber for not getting back quicker, khj is right thats what it says it's because of rations in ww2, have another one saying (use the telephone) for some reason. gerry
