Hi all

We recently saw an episode of How Do They Do It? on the Science Channel. They showed how those big red metal British mailboxes are made. I can't find a video on their website yet, but keep an eye out for the episode to be repeated.

Looks like this episode will air a few more times this month, including July 15 & 17 on the Science Channel.

Nells, I saw this program the other night, too. I had no idea there was such a massive amount of work required to produce just one of these post boxes. I hope one day to see one in person!

They do seem heavy duty! Makes you wonder why they'd ever have a need to make new ones!

Great article. Now I know much more about the history of mailbox in Canada and the States. It was very interesting because I live in Montreal.
