I remember that I had stated before that I was almost finished with my Farley issues...what a naive sentence that was- lol! I still need a few things but I am getting close to what I had originally envisioned with these beautiful issues (Once believed un-obtainable to me.). In-fact it was the "Farley's Follies" that made me want to collect! I inherited a nice sized and a very unorganized jumble of a collection and while sorting I found my first few "Follies"! I was hooked! I just love the way they look and the colors & really neat souvenir sheets as well as the things you can learn about both the subject matter and James Farley! To me, a fascinating proposition at that! -Namaste!
Here are some scans of my stuff to see. Please enjoy my humble little collection!

This is an older scan of some of my duplicates I got at auction.

Also, if anyone has any duplicates to sell, trade or barter...lol
These are the ones I need to finish up my Farley imperf collection. I also need (better copies) of the perforated of the second. [Scott#727,728,729,732]. I should just buy the mint sheets[#730 & #731] and singles of them as representatives on my singles page as it were. I would like to find better copies of #750[American Philatelic Society issue souvenir sheet] & 751[Trans Mississippi Philatelic Exposition issue souvenir sheet] if anyone has them to part with please contact me. Thank you.

I really like that series of stamps as well. I also like to find post offices that were erected during PMG Farley's administration, mostly because I like Art Deco architecture and the occasional mural found on the interiors relating to that towns history (usually). I normally try to get a photograph of the mural and exterior of the PO.

I have a couple of used souv. sheets of these with the Oval cancels -- but you make me wish I collected mint as the designs show so much better even than a neat cancel! Thanks for sharing.

I was poking around the site today and found one of my early threads so I thought I would update it a little bit with some new additions to my Farley's. Some have been in my collection for a long time but unscanned for one reason or another. I know they are out of order but it's early so I'm not going to be fussy about it. -Jeff

Just a little teaser for you.

This is actually two blocks of four rejoined, haven't a clue why the previous owner cut them apart, but when I noticed the layout line on the right side of the left column crossed the cut, I rejoined the block of 8. The layout line has been strengthened for visibilty, but the placement is accurate. I have a lot more of this material, I'll scan it and post it in its own thread later. Stay tuned! :)

Jeff, you have some really nice stuff there. It reminds me that we may never actually be done with this because of all of the gutter and margin varieties out there.

Keep the hunt going!

Tom
