The words "adorable" and "Russian" don't really go together very well either.

Did Russia print bunnies and baby ducks? Thats my first image and for some reason Russia and adorable don't meld well. Marketing adjectives 101 must have been skipped by this one.

(please read with thick russian accent)
Dis is no lafing matter for the russian speaking guy.
And I sink for a real grown manly man Lenin,Stalin,Vodka and some great engravings of the glorious military equipment of the Mother Russia is the real thing of beauty to admire and adore. And not some buggs bunny one dimensional cartoon.Moscow is already surpassed the New York by the number of Billionaires(we're not waisting time counting millionaires)and we don't have any debt ceiling to push 'coz we don't have one!(Ha ha ha)So URA!!To the great past, and behold our future!

When I first read the title of the thread, my first thought was also that adorable and Russian just did not go together. I really like Russian stamps from the 30's 40's and 50's, but adorable just does not describe any of them.

As an aside, I don't think that I will ever get my Russian stamps organized. Right now they are mainly in stock books with only a few being mounted in an album.

Lots of cold-war stereotyping there, literally out of nowhere! Really sad

I have some Russian stamps here that are petite in size, deeming them, in my eyes, cute little stamps. Though I havent had the chance to check out this particular lot, I can see where "adorable" would come from. Visual appeal. IMHO ~Ash

Russia has great art stamps too. If you have a big Russia collection with many mnh and complete sets. I would say it's adorable. And don't forget to quote Al Stewart
"Russian sky goes on forever"
