philb I was shocked last night as I watched the news report. They told us that the USA was unable to pay the interest charge on the governments loan.

It does not look like you will get a health card any time soon.
Things have got to turn around soon for you guys.

KGV I don't really want to talk politics..but I doubt Obama wants to be the first President in history to default..the politicians are playing chicken with the stock market..it always comes back..and they will not let the old folks who live month to month on social security go hungry...too many folks still well off to have a French Revolution !!

We have health cards in Quebec but because of many reasons the whole health system is not as efficient you guys would think. If you are not seriously injured you can wait easily wait 12hrs at the hospital emergency before you see a doctor. Many go to emergency for minor desease because they just don't have a doctor they can call and visit the same day like I do. Many good doctors and specialists after practicing in Quebec left for the USA to make big $$$. Daniel
