I was at a stamp show last week and went through the grab bag box and picked up a few nice album pages for pennies. Each of the pages was nicely laid out with stamps I like but missing one or two that never got filled in. As long as I haven't invested much and otherwise like the layout or subject matter, I consider it my sacred duty to finish the page. Does that make me a gapaholic?

The only way to treat gapaholism is to remove the stamps from the page, place them in a stockbook, and give or throw away the album page.

Only buy stamps on album pages if you are NOT a gapaholic.

Your post is too funny.

Scouter

If you do not do it, that is buy pages with gaps and fill the gaps, then we would have to revoke your membership to Gapoholics

Wouldn't that create a gap in the members list?

Next time you feel the urge to fill in some gaps, call your sponsor. They should help you remove the stamps from the pages, transfer them to stockbooks and remove the offending album pages. Recovering gapaholics will help you when you can't help yourself.

I give up. Time to call in the OCD squad.
(OCD stands for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.)

Please Help!

Hello my name is Mac and I have OCD.
I must have it really bad. I picked up collections from Latin America with plans to break them down then get one nice collection. I just could not let some nice album be unused. So I use one for mint never hinged and one for used, duplicate collection. Then all of my dupes I found myself remounting to old pages to resell again.

Your t-shirt is on the way. You've earned it.

(Of course you've learned to express your affliction in a healthy way, by stamp collecting, and we know how you feel because we've all been there!)

Londonbus, give it time. I believe you are very close to joining the ranks with the likes of Phil and others.
