Rod
I post when you were about to reach 10 000 posts. I was not expecting it would give you the title of Bedrock of the Community. I laughed because it remind me of the cartoon Flinstones. I appreciate greatly your involvement since I join the Community. You have a great knowledge and you are sometime very funny. Hope you will stay for another 10 000 post because don't forget your now the Bedrock of the Community.

I started a different thread, but I'll add my congratulations here also.

Rod has certainly enriched my SCF experience. And since he's so great with pop culture references, I'll add this...

he's a bird
he's a dog;
He's a bird dog!

Wow, this is rather overwhelming.
thank you everybody for your nice sentiments.

It is obvious that an image based newsgroup
is the pinnacle route of sharing our hobby between ourselves,
so we must thank the development of the internet
and people like the SCF designers, who made all this possible.

SCF is the oasis where we all come to have a sip
and a browse. Long may it continue.
Thanks to the owners and the moderators,
Thanks to all my friends here, and apologies to any I may
have inadvertently angered by a wrong turn of phrase,
or a failure to respond.

I replied in the other thread but it warrants reiterating. Rod has been the sounding board for many a newcomer, including me, and one of the main reasons that this board works so well. He will be a blessing to future members as he continues to enrich our experiences with new and unusual stamps, cinderellas, labels, and ephemera. Congrats Rod, good go! - Jeff
