Hello From Florida

Hi everyone! I'm brand new to this wonderful site.I happened upon this site by accident. A few years ago I bought a house and in the garage on a wooden beam over my head I spotted a stamp album. It is full of wonderful late 18th and early 19th century worlwide stamps. The u.s stamps are gruelling to figure out! I couldn't have found a nicer and more knowledgable group of people to help me learn about stamps.I'm really kind of excited after reading all the posts.

Thanks for the warm welcome. Going scanner hunting after this rain quits. Does anyone know which brand of scanner would be good? Without breaking the bank of course!

Oddly the best cheapest scanners I've encountered are the ones that come attached to multi-function printers.

I have a nice little $90 Samsung laser printer with a nice flat bed scanner in the lid.

Thankyou Dave. I was wondering if the three-for might not be a good bet for me.

Welcome who knew! Looking forward to seeing your stamps soon! 18Th century stamps huh? I'm not sure I've seen many of those, only seals and "notary" type impressions along with wax seals. They would certainly spark my interest immediately! Again, welcome and fee free to ask lots of questions! `Jay

I love stamps...Just call the 18th century gaffe a blonde moment!! Sorry guys. Mmmm would you believe 19th century and early 20th? Just got a printer. If I can't figure it out I'll call my computer savvy 3 yr. old granddaughter.

There is never a savvy 3 year old when you need to program the remote.
