Hello all,

I am curious to find out if most people here have a separate stamp room in their house so that stamp do not 'get in the way' of your daily chores.

Sometimes I have to spread my stamps on my basement carpet when sorting and albums on the couch which makes that area unusable for family usage & TV watching. That and a very mobile, curious and teething 9-month old makes that room off limits.

How about you?

Cheers
Ram

I have a room that is a combination of home office, computer room, stamp room and library. And yes, there is a lot of stuff in here, just the way I like it.

I have a desk and a bookshelf in a corner of my bedroom dedicated to stamps. My computer desk in the living room is also covered with stamps. Every once in a while I make a big effort to clear things up. And start getting them messy all over again.

I have book shelves with ziplocks and inside are different themes, airmail, animals, presidents/royalty that I need to put in my binders. Other book shelves I have one binder per alphabet, for each country and then in my closet have USA binders.

All in one room though...

Ha, that's funny Scouter!
I have a lot of stamps, all over the place, but my husband doesn't say anything because his hobby of gun collecting, is far more expensive, lolol....

Lucky you to have a stamp HOUSE ! !
Wow, lolol

You could always put the book shelves back to back, like columns in a library, that's what I did, lolol.. And there is a row of book shelves when you open the door, so the book shelves make it like a wall so when you walk in, it's like a small hallway!

I can relate to that !

We live a small [former] Kibbutz bungalow with just about enough room to swing a cat.
I used to have a small desk in the lounge but due to expansion [of stamp stuff] I designed my own [much bigger] desk and got a carpenter friend to knock it up for me. So the lounge became smaller !

But the stamp stuff grew and took over half of the bedroom cupboard [at the expense of the clothes], half of the glass-fronted Lounge cabinet and half the music cupboard.

So like Scouter says, the wife just 'aint laughin'!

My only consolation in not having a stamp room.....even if I did, 12x12 just wouldn't be enough !

Londonbus1.....still has a problem with the clothes though !
