If you are suggesting the "magnetic" types
Yes, quite a few people,
and without doubt absolutely ruins the stamps.


Example:
Rear of cover mounted in a magnetic album
gum lines evident

Yes I was wondering about that type. But what if one of those hinged/mounted pages are placed at the bottom and the stamp on top. Anyone tried? Any comments/ideas?

All around bad idea. Stamp albums and stock pages are specifically designed for holding your stamps and photo albums are not. eg- Acid free paper, special "plastics" such as Mylar. I used to house some of mine in a photo album and no good came of it. Hope this helps some. ~Jay

It's much better to print your own pages (there is a thread for this) than use a photo album.
You then at least have some control over the paper/card type and the folder where you store them.
