The worlds rarest stamp.. South America.. I also have a 25 cent one. Every time I look up value, it refers back to the 1cent one worth over millions.. LOL.. and I am sure that is NOT my luck..
Thanks everyone for your input!

Any chance you have a picture or scan available?
If you're talking about British Guiana, 5 cents and 25 cents weren't denominations used in the older stamps. One cent, four cents, and multiples of four, were generally the denominations.
A little more information would be great.
[edit: By the way, welcome...and having a genuine copy of most any of the first forty or fifty BG stamps would be quite some luck.] |

I'm relatively certain you need to get to fifty posts to send email through the system. That doesn't take long.
There is a link in the left margin to a tutorial for uploading photos. Make sure it is a jpeg file, smaller than 100kb, with no spaces in the filename, and only letters or numbers in the name, and you should be fine. Once you get the hang of it, it is a piece of cake. |

Also.. The stamp looks like the 1cent one. It has red with the black but says Guyana South America. It is 2 1/4" wide by 1 1/2" tall

Yes it is in fact British Guiana.. It probably doesn't have value then? You never know if you don't ask.. |

British Guiana became Guyana in 1966. This is simply a commemorative stamp issued in 1967 honouring the 1c 1856 stamp. Minimal value. |
