Back in 1993, I bought a new set of albums from a local dealer, they were made by StampsUSA, a company that's now, apparently, defunct. Since it was made in 1993, I only got the first half of the 1993 pages. I had decided to simply stop collecting US stamps at that point because that's where the album stopped.
The problem is, I've purchased quite a few stamps in the second half of 1993 that are just sitting around in envelopes waiting to be mounted. I've looked online to see if any StampsUSA pages are available and I can't find hide nor hare of them, which is not unexpected.
I had considered simply replicating the page format and printing my own, but at 9x12, it won't go through the printer. I'm not going to be buying new albums to transplant hundreds upon hundreds of stamps, just for a dozen or so issues I can't fit.
Any ideas?

Most of Hewlett-Packards "Wide Format" printers will print up to 12 x 18 paper. http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/s...l=3#bcAnchorNow, I'm not suggesting you spend a pile of money on a new printer, but they do exist. That means all you have to do is find a print shop in your area to print the pages for you. And most print shops also have the capacity to punch custom holes to fit your binders. Finally, now you just have to weigh the cost of what I'm suggesting against the cost of new binders and pages for post-1993 KirkS |

I'm certainly not buying a new printer for what will probably mean 4-5 pages tops. I know I can get them, it's just not reasonable. |

I understand. And I tried to say in my reply that I wasn't suggesting you purchase a new printer.
Let see if I can be more direct with my reply....
In the whole world, you must know at least ONE person who works in an office, at a school, or somewhere that has a business-class printer and would be willing you print your 5 pages for you!

As Kirk's response, In Australia, one would go to Officeworks (Woolworths) They have a print shop, on site in most offices where one can get a myriad of print / scan options. digital camera prints, all sorts.
Maybe Staples in the US offers similar options?

As Rod said if you can make you pages on 81/2 by 12 paper. Bring it to a print shop or a place like staples. They can enlarge it ot any paper you wish I ave done this many times for music fesival stuff. Dianne |

What I would do is get a new set of 1993 pages from one of the free USA album pages websites. There are a couple sources of free USA album pages on the net, print them out on 8 1/2 x 11 printer (acid free, etc) paper and put them in my album. Either punch holes in the pages or put them in a sheet protector. No , they would not match the page size, and the border design would be different, but I'd be okay with that. I know lots of people would NOT be okay with that though. Another option would be to stop your album at 1992 or at 1990 and get another album to resume from where you stopped the 1st album at. Then you could continue the 2nd album up to the year 2000, a good stopping point (or beyond if you wanted to.
Just my thoughts...

I really don't want to continue beyond 1993, I stopped because I got sick of the U.S. postal service raping collectors by putting out hundreds of stamp designs every year to rip off collectors. I'd just like a place to put the 1993 stamps that I don't have pages for. |

If the USPS doesn't get some money from Congress, then 2011 may be the last year they issue stamps. |

Typical. As soon as I find a brand of tinned tomatoes I like enough to buy in bulk, Costco stops stocking it. As soon as I start collecting US stamps, the USPS stops printing them. Story of my life. And I humbly apologize to the rest of the forum and all US collectors wherever they may be for bringing my bad karma down on you.

The existence of a postal service and mail delivery is actually guaranteed in the US Constitution. If the damn government can spend billions bailing out banks and billions more bailing out car companies, I think they'll find some money to help bail out a service that is constitutionally guaranteed. |

I've been making my own pages with an MS Word template or macro that has worked well. They are also 9x12 to match the HE Harris Liberty pages. I just got tired of the shifting quality and style of their later updates, so am making my own instead.
I take the files to kinkos or similar print shop, have them printed on 11x17 paper, cut down to 9x12 and then custom drilled.
If you only need 4 or 5 pages done I could probably just do them for you. I would need to know exactly what stamps need to be shown, and it would be good to see an example of the existing earlier page.
Another option is to get a graphic designer to do it for you. I've done that too, and its expensive (cost me $35 a page) but you can get them to do it exactly how you want. If you only have 4 or 5 pages that might not be a bad option.
