I sent a cover to get the May 26 Memorial Day Station pictorial postmark from Bayamon Puerto Rico. Today I received said cover back minus my glassine covering and the pictorial postmark. It had a circular cancel and a John Adams spray on cancel, ruining a decent topical cover. Does anyone know whom I can contact to get a replacement postmark since the 30 day limit has expired? Maybe The Cave in Kansas City?
Tom, Thanks. I also got a reply from my same posting on the Virtual Stamp Club that the cave doesn't handle "field" postmarks and to try writing the postmaster in Bayamon for clarification. Also, he said that his had a "plug" cancel and thought that maybe they did not receive the pictorial canceling device.
