Just back from my stamp club (of which I am now a card carrying member).
Purchased a few pieces. Nothing earth shattering, but managed to fill a few holes.
Felt like showing them off.

and a couple of Canadian

As much as I enjoy SCF (and the number of hours I log here can vouch for that) it is nice to get out once in a while and do this with flesh and blood people, you know what I mean?

Some nice stamps. I find the cancel on that Poland Overrun Countries stamp a bit interesting with a bulls eye cancel "GPO" (General Post Office?).

Nice stamps. The 10 cents US commemorative on top is beautiful with a nice cancel too. My stamp club is restarting meetings tomorrow after the summer break. We have meetings every second and fourth Saturday each month. You give me an idea. I will discuss tomorrow that any visitors outside of Quebec invited by a members has the privilege of buying and selling for one meeting without having to subscribe membership. Something like that. Of course it would be successful if other members in my stamp club know in advance the collecting interest of the visitor.

Good idea Daniel. Now that I'm a full member I can sell as well as buy. A new outlet for a lot of the stuff I've tried to sell/trade here or on ebay, but can't seem to move. I'm not so much an accumulator, so it's nice to get this stuff out of here and into home they can be appreciated. We've got a bourse coming up in October, so I'll get some stuff ready, and perhaps even try my hand at exhibiting.
We had some visitors last night, and a guest speaker coming next meeting. We are not alone!

James, you have picked up some very nice stamps. I just attended the first meeting of our local stamp club on Wednesday night. It was great to mingle with like minded people after a three month layoff over the summer months and I picked up a small lot of British Commonwealth stamps in the club auction.
