You know we have all talked about the idea of keeping different colored stamps separate when soaking them.
I don't know if my idea is novel but, have you ever thought of using an ice cube tray to keep them separate?

This idea came to me when I had a n umber of Indo-China stamps that were already Identified and didn't want to bath them all together and mix them up. SO I took an ice cube tray, put water in each space, not enough for it to over flow, then 1 stamp in each hole and soaked it.
It worked out perfectly.

Any thoughts?

Hi stampvirgin

Sounds like a fantastic idea. I do not know why anyone has not thought of it before. The only problem I see is with large stamps, but then you could use a muffin tray etc

Personal preference
I like a large (bigger the better) glass bowl,
even for one stamp, I like to get my hands on and in
and feel if the gum has gone, sometimes a light
rub betwixt thumb and finger will remove ornery spots.

Larger volumes dissipate gum better too.

One has to exercise discipline when choosing
which stamps to soak at each occasion.
Coloured covers now, I don't entertain at all, just leave
them on piece.
