Ok all here a simple question.....

Which do you like

The thrill of the hunt,,, were you spend time seeking and looking all over the place for those stamps you need,,,,

Or finally see your set of stamps in a series completed......

For me lately has been the hunt. Been buy used older albums,,, from a few hundred stamps to as high as 6000,,, I seek those older stamps pre 1965..... For me it fun,,, and also when I complete a set,,, I been sending what extras I get to the VA,,, so some one some were cant enjoy the hunt as I do.....

It's good to donate. Good idea.

I think I like the hunt better, although getting the job done is always a satisfying thing.

I like going through a mess of stamps and just being surprised by all the different stuff, stamps, labels, cancels I find.

Why did they do it that way? Who designed the stamp that way? That's good, that's nice, that's a funny way to do it, etc.

I guess I am a romantic at heart.

The hunt never ends. Even if you complete a set, there are always upgrades. I can't really differentiate the two, now.

I enjoy both the hunt and the completion. In my special area, Barwani, I have examples of all the main listed stamps, but I'm missing a few 'a' numbers. Some of them I may never get because they're unique. And then, it isn't enough to simply have one example: the next step is to find a sheet (mercifully, most Barwani stamps were issued in sheets of four only). And then, I want used examples - not at all easy for Barwani. And then, I have to have examples on cover ... and then examples of stamps on cover, used for different postal rates. The hunt will probably never end, but it's a very nice feeling to be able to complete just one issue, and to be able to say that at least that issue is done.
