Does anyone know if there were postmarks for California and Conneticut? If so what is the address to send a cover too? I was able to come up all the others.
Bob, I tried that link put it just lists the stamps and links to the USPS store to purchase first day of issue sets from DC. I am looking for the pictorial postmarks from CA and CN at one of their cities only available for 30 days. These are not the official FDOI postmarks. I had heard a rumor that there was one for California, but had not found an address. There was one for Alaska and Delaware that were after the first day of sale.
I received my cover back from Conneticut yesterday. Unfortunately, it was postmarked with the round cancel on July 14, not a pictorial field cancel for the June 14 FDOS. It was a shot in the dark as I didn't see a postmark advertised for an event.
