Just wondering if anyone here uses the Liberty Street CD-ROM catalogue or any other version that uses scott # system and if they do what are the pro and cons as opposed to the conventional scoot catalogue
I have been thinking of getting the CD-ROM version as I do quite of bit of travell with work and it would be handy to have on the lap top
Also is there a app for iPhone if not someone should design one.

I also seems like a much cheaper road to go on then purchasing all the Scott's volumes just a single disk and your off to the races.

Jack:

I don't use StampManage but I do want to add one distinction. StampManage is a database program that lets you inventory and track your collection. It does reference Scott numbers and includes scanned images of stamps.

But otherwise, I don't think it gives you the same reference material as in the actual catalog.

We've talked about this database before and I think there are a couple folks here who do use it, so I'm sure they will weigh in soon with a more informed opinion....

Well Kirks I did a search and came across this https://goscf.com/t/1200&SearchTerms=cd-rom sorry about being lazy lol and not using the serch first, seems to be a negative with the cd-rom and most prefer the printed edition. Going to pick up a set of 2010 paper edition.

No worries about not searching -- lots of topics resurface every day.

But I did think there would be one or two users who could weigh in with a better opinion.

By the way, did you download the free trial version of StampManage from http://www.libertystreet.com/stampm...ownloads.htm

It's the full version of the software, but you only have 30 days to play, then it won't run anymore.

No I did not never did like the free trial thing, they rope you in. I dont like the ideal of having all my stamps catalouged on the computer far to much work. I just like the idea of the cd-rom catalouge for when I'am on the road. Take a bunch of stamps with me and pass the evening looking them up.
