Well I really dont know what to say. I'm just a regular Joe trying to enjoy the ride. I both collect stamps and dont collect them, I buy them with gut feeling more than knowledge. And that is 1 of the reasons im here to learn more etc.
In my opinion, you are absolutely on the right track. Buy the stamps that "speak" to you, the ones you like, and find interesting. Don't worry so much about investment; just enjoy the hobby.

Hi MrMagic. I also buy buy 'gut feeling' and what appelas to me which thankfully so far has been a very modest outlay I'm a big fan of Swedish engraved stamps so if you have any to trade please let me know.
