The 1988 Annual Souvenir Collection could potentially be the best, as the 37c coil pair on Rolland paper (Unitrade 1194i) is known to have been put in some (but not all) of these albums. It is very scarce in mint condition, less than 200 are known to exist. I believe the current catalog value is about $200 for a pair.

Once again, thanks guys,
I find this rather fascinating.
The purchaser no doubt paid full retail plus postage
which indicates he will be out of pocket somewhat
but "face value" indicates another audit total.

Thanks for the time put it by members to address this query.
I think I'll alter the thread title to more closely
reflect the discussion.

Another thing, some items can only be found in the annual Souvenir collections, like the unfolded strips. They're stamps from a booklet but with no fold 'cause they were not actually put in a booklet before being put in the annual Souvenir collection.

Much harder to find items, worth (well listed) at about 10-20% more than the folded strip. I had a hard time finding them all.

Here's a good example of the type of thing that occasionally crops up in these philatelic products. This die-cut stamp was only released in the quarterly and yearly collections - all over-the-counter stock was released with the jagged points the other way around (1 "outie" on the top, 2 "outies" on the bottom).
