Scott #599 Vs. #599A?

can anyone tell me the difference between the 599 and 599a?
My old Harris catolog mentions them but doesn't tell what the difference is

599a is the type II of the A157 design. Type II: Three heavy hair lines at top center of head; two being outstanding in the white area. Outline of left acanthus scroll very strong and clearly defined at top (under left edge of lettered panel) and at lower curve (above and to left of numeral oval)

This type only appears on Nos 599a and 634a

Unfortunately of all the 599's I had to go through there were no 599a's
