Found this USPS ad recently. Done as a rap video to try and encourage kids to collect stamps. I don't know how popular the ad was (I don't remember it at all), but the prehistoric animal series would certainly have been popular with the elementary school age group:

That ad would have run when I was 13. I was already a stamp collector of 5 years by that time.

cool video. I don't remember ever seeing it, and i'm not sure, if I had seen it on tv, that it would have made me want to collect stamps.
